Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Cambodia Vahram Kazhoyan with the Governor of Siem Reap Province Tea Seiha

Vahram Kazhoyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Cambodia had a meeting with Mr. Tea Seiha, Siem Reap Provincial Governor on August 19, 2022. Siem Reap city, the center of the eponymous province, being the second largest city of the country, is the most important tourist, and one of the important industrial and agricultural centers of the country.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further development and deepening of trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Cambodia, especially Siem Reap province, particularly in the fields of tourism and investment promotion.

The interlocutors, referring to the development of the tourism sphere between the two countries, emphasized that the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic caused considerable damage to the Armenian and Cambodian sphere of tourism, with all of its infrastuctures. In this context, Ambassador Kazhoyan mentioned that during his first visit, a number of preliminary agreements have already been reached with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the implementation of which will contribute to increasing tourism from Armenian to Siem Reap.

While discussing the issue of the promotion of investments between Armenia and Cambodia, the parties emphasized reciprocal visits of businessmen from Armenia and Siem Reap province.

Governor of Siem Reap Province, Mr. Tea Seiha, presented the "Investment Opportunities in Siem Reap, Cambodia" booklet to the Armenian Ambassador, requesting to forward it to the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, the Chamber of Commerce or other relevant organizations and business associations.
